Soil and groundwater condition investigation and measures (Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act)
We will consider methods that align with the customer's site, costs, and plans, and implement them in a consistent manner.
Soil and groundwater condition surveys and measures have become unavoidable matters in various situations such as business activities, factory relocations, and land transactions, several years after the enforcement of the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Act. We will consider and implement methods that suit our clients' sites, costs, and plans, from simple soil and groundwater surveys to support related to soil measures, in a consistent system. As a designated survey organization, environmental measurement certification business, and organization obtaining specific measurement certification, we will grasp the situation, identify the causes of contamination, and consider methods tailored to the business, contributing to the reduction of corporate risks through confidentiality. (Soil contamination survey technical managers will be in charge.) Additionally, the management of asset retirement obligations began in April 2010, resulting in some changes in the handling of costs related to the environment (soil, PCB, asbestos measures). For example, it may become possible to distribute costs across different fiscal years. To mitigate corporate management risks, we recommend understanding the soil conditions at an early stage, preventing the spread of contamination, and identifying potential future costs.
